My buddy has a 69 Hemi Roadrunner post car (RM21). I've not seen or heard about any other Q5 hemis. Is there any way of knowing how many were produced?

AFAIK there are NO factory 1969 production numbers for colors.

with over 800 HEMI Road Runners for '69,
I'd doubt only one example of any desirable STANDARD color (incl. Omaha orange, rallye green, Bahama yellow, R4, K2) was built.

of the 57 HEMI Road Runners that I have fender tag info on - two are Q5

I currently have none in: B3, F3, L1, T7 rallye green, Bahama yellow, Petty blue

Thanks Dan. I didn't know that F3 or Petty blue was available in 1969.

officially it was "corporate blue" think Chrysler/Plymouth signs & they do exist
(I'm sure RP running a Ford in NASCAR for '69 lessened their numbers)
..... there are a few F3 Road Runners out there, too scope

I have 6 Hemi RR 69 Q5 cars in my spreadsheet. Could you send me the fender tag of your buddies car to see if I have it documented yet?

There's a local guy that has a Bahama Yellow 69 Hemi Road Runner that he bought new named Darrell.
He ordered the car new and didn't realize what Bahama Yellow actually looked like. laugh2
He accepted the car anyway.

About 2001 he sold off the original engine (dumb move IMO) when he put a 528 crate Hemi in the car when he decided to go racing.
He had a roll cage installed at the same time. no

The car will eventually be handed down to his kids (actually they want it).

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

I recently saw an episode of Graveyard Carz where they are restoring
a '69 Hemi Road Runner CONVERTIBLE automatic in Q5 seafoam.. original color, they are saying it is a 1 of 1 car.

Saying any Hemi ragtop is a 1 of 1 car is just dumbassery.

Everything is a 1 of 1 car these days......

I remember 40 years ago when these were just all stupid used cars sitting on used car lots for $1000 each!

Ok great...everybody here says ALL CARS these days are 1 of 1...which
is just a ridiculous statement. So the question is: how many Q5 426 HEMI
1969 Road Runner automatic convertibles were built? Or better yet...
how many are left in one piece, and not junked... can any of you experts answer that? work

there are 12 known built 1969 HEMI Road Runner convertibles:
2 transmission choices
19 "normal" exterior choices & a number of common "special" colors
12 interior choices
&
piles of OPTIONAL equipment

with only 12 RM27J9G cars, do you have to get past paint to be "1 of 1"? know of any "1 of 2"?

how far down an OPTION list will someone go to prove their car is 1 of 1?

I guess two of the 4-speed RM27J9G cars are "F8" (wrong - one is F5, the other F8) blush
one with F5/M6X the other with F8/M6T - OH the HORROR of the common car!! panic

This person above wrote: "of the 57 HEMI Road Runners I have fender tag info on...two are Q5". That stands to reason 1 is possibly a hardtop, and the other could very likely be the Hemi convertible that GYC is restoring. Which could make that car the ONLY Q5 HEMI CONVERTIBLE 1969 Road Runner manufactured in 1969 in that particular combo.
