This is why everyone should own a manual shift 12-valve Cummins.
It would be the only operable vehicle after an EMP attack.

I don't know if I had posted about it, but I have also read and do recommend it. It will make you think. up

The sequel (One Year After, which is actually 2 years after the EMP attack) is not as good, and has an unfinished feel about it suggesting another volume is in the works. One Decade After, maybe?

I just read the synopsis for that book and all i can say is keep your distributor points cleaned and save those old tube radios.

Someday the only vehicles on the road might be nothing but pre 1970 muscle cars!

I have it on good authority that Tom stores moparts.org in a Faraday cage, so we should all be okay. up

I finished the second one last night and would agree that there are loose ends, so I spent another $12.99 at B&N Nook and started the third one. He makes some good comments about how a liberal govt. allows certain countries to develop nuclear weapons, and then they are used against us.

Trivia time!

Orange crush has been around since 1911.

Fanta was a result of Coca Cola Germany's supply of syrup being cut off during WW2. The head of Cocal Cola Germany came up with Fanta (Short for Fantasie, because of the brainstorming session that took place as a result) and made it using all the leftover crap they could find and mixing it up.

After WW2, Coca Cola Germany was once again absorbed in the Coca Cola Company and Fanta was discontinued until 1955, when it was released as an orange soda.

SO...all that is to say that I, Orange Crush, am the original while Fanta is a melange of crap born of desperation.....therefore, Fanta should not even be mentioned in the same post as the great Orange Crush.
