Just call Trails, Casey. They are a VP dealer. What are you running C16 in? That's a really heavy nitrous-based fuel.

Not true. It runs real well in very high compression motors. I'm talking over 15:1. I find the motor starts easier and runs cooler than C14

If you're running compression over 13:1 you should be running C-25. The C-16's specific gravity is higher than C-14 or 25, thus giving it better anti-detonation properties, making it a better fuel to use on NO2. But if you're running N/A you want as light fuel as possible so the burn rate is faster and cleaner.

I have not tried C25 but like I said, the C16 works very well for me Seems you would want to run the specific NOS fuel for nitrous?

ah good thinkin ben i never thought of that. thanks

and yes this will be for the N/A 15:1 588. we have ran C12, C14, and C16 and we just thought it ran the best. Didnt think we needed c25 for it. But maybe we will try that. I thought Q16 was the nitrous fuel?

thanks
Casey

Q16 and C44(?) are oxygenated fuels. You don't really want to run the Q with Nitrous. C16, C23, and the NOS are the nitrous-specific fuels VP makes. I know of quite a few guys that run the C16 in N/A, I was just saying it's not the ideal fuel to run. There are so many to pick from.... but I know just about every SS/AH, PS and upper echelon Comp guys run the 25.

So in my 13.0 to 1 aluminum headed smallblock I was going to try some C-12, or would somthing else be better like C-14 or C-16?, been running Citgo 110 (same as Cam2 purple) and will be looking for a dealer also for the VP in central Oh.

I used to run C-16 in my 572 years ago and worked fine in my N/A motor..it was over 15 to 1.

If I were you.. I would run the Q-16 it is the baddest of the bad in fuels it makes probably 25 more HP than C-25..The only reason the NHRA guys AKA SS/AH,Comp,Pro-stock run the C-25 is because they have to.It is there spec fuel..I ran C-25 in my small block and it worked fine, but the Q-16 will make abunch more HP.The tune-up will be different though..

The difference is the C-25 is crazy $$$ I think it is probably 100 bucks for 5-gallons...Q-16 is 30 to 40 dollars cheaper...

I would call Bob Marshall-Eastland Shell on Hamilton road..He can get you anything you want..He will just order it when he orders his fuel for the station..He carries both C-14 and 16..
