Looks like the PCS controller and harness is around $900. When you can find transmissionsome for $500-1000 I guess that's not TOO bad.

I found a used one for sale somewhere and the feller said he paid 9 bills new. These trans can take 1000rwhp in 4000lb cars when built up. Im guessing they could handle alot more in a 3000lb car.
Mopar to the bone!!!

Stock I'm guessing 500ish? Plenty of modded 6.1's with stock tranny's. They actually came behind the 6.4's as well. Not sure what extra beef they had behind the 6.4's. I think the 5.7's and 6.1's used the same one

The 5.7's and SRT versions I know had different programming but I think they had different converters to. At any rate they all share the same foundation and can be built into a really stout trans that has really good lock up converters available. If I had a cool C-body I would love to see a 5.7 Hemi with a pair of 70mm turboes with one of these trans behind it and an 8 3/4 with some 3.23's, it would be a barrel of laughs.

What are the prices of the controllers? PCS controller seems to list 1000-1500 Compushift says starting at 1034.00, but I believe I recently viewed a webpage listing more than double that price for the NAG1 variant. I have not tracked down the price for the ofgear.dk unit. Supposedly, Holley is working on including Nag1 support with their dominator efi system, but I have been unable to get anyone from the tech support line to answer the phone, and their web page does not currently list any such device. I have come across a couple others in the development phase, but no one seems to have this market segment covered at this time. I am going to muddle thru with a hotrod harness from hotwire automotive and the factory TCM for the time being.if it doesn't work well enough, or I kill the transmission, I will end up going with a 4l80E.

They have been discussing the Nag1- Holley setup for years with no results that I have seen yet- Don't hold your breath. I won't, I see that's from two years ago. I wish I knew someone at Holley to talk to, I live just a few miles from them. Dennis
