Where in the cam range is should your converter stall be ?? We just put a new cam in the Duster range is 4k-8k and we're using a 4500 stall conv and was just wondering

For best ET the stall RPM on the converter should be a little above peak TQ of the motor. Can't tell where that would be from the RPM range of the cam. Need need more info on the motor then what the cam company show's as the RPM range.

As a general statement, your torque will be 1500
rpm below the max hp so in your case.... if peak
HP is at 7800-8000 you want the TC to stall near
6300-6500. Of course this is IF all the other parts
fall in line for a peak HP in the 7800 range. If not
then all of it is a guess
