I'm starting with an '04 5.7L block that I am hoping to turn into a 700hp+ naturally aspirated engine.

I will be adding a stroker rotating assembly.

I am looking at the Thitek heads, a solid roller cam, and adjustable rockers.

My first question is this: What is everyone using for the solid roller lifters? I have been hearing that people are using shims on their hydraulic lifters to make them solid.

On the adjustable rockers, is there a cheaper version out on the market than the T&Ds? I know Harlem Sharpe & Jesel make them, but they require additional machine work to the heads to fit.

Anyone running the Thitek heads know what size cam they will accommodate? What size spring diameter - stock vs. T&D rockers?

Also, does anyone have a direct link or contact at Thitek? Their website does not give a phone number, and their question submission function doesn't seem to be working. Half of the links to their authorized dealers also aren't working, and I have yet to have anyone of them get back to me.

Call Bruce or Josh at HHP, he can answer all your questions and point you in the right direction. There are only a handful of people running solid valvetrains.888.894.1115

Ok...so what did you find out? I'm considering jumping into the same boat in two years for my dirt late model...

Barton has a section that sells drag pack parts. The lifters are shimmed oem lifters. Thiteks gives you options for lots of spring choices unlike stock heads

If I were going to pick a rocker arm it would be the T&Ds. Ive seen them and they are really nice
