What do you guys use for epoxy to shape or fill in pin holes?
Have any of you used Lab Metal epoxy?

Did you seal the port from a air leak or a water leak. And Im not implieing that there is anything wrong with JB weld. mike

WHAT?

JB Weld is OK for filling pinholes (to air) or rocker cover
bolt-holes but, it's too snotty for shaping, unless you dam
it up somehow and grind it to shape after it sets up.

z-spar is the company name.
splash zone is also a name its called.
part number is a-788

here is a small link to what i am speaking of. green when cured. do not breath the dust when grinding. we use it in the comp eliminator motors.

we do not use it on the exhaust side for obvious reasons.

Goodson sells Z Spar splash zone under their house brand porting/reshaping kit. # PRK-99

I been using PC products croncrete epoxy alot lately, it's closest stuff I've seen to Belzona 1111 Super Metal yet, but with 1/15 the cost. I buy it in caulking gun tube for around $20. It's what I used in my W9RP heads to knock 20 CC of volume out.

Had air (oil would have gotten through) when I had the SR heads welded to turn them into 440-1's on the intake. We've always used JB even on my old iron heads seems to hold on forever.

The trick with JB weld is mix it and keep checking it till you get a form able paste. Of course sometimes you come back to a hard lump!
My machinist likes to apply outside and suck into porus spots with suck tester then coat over after.
