Did Dodge add DEF in 2010 like Ford and Chev ?Guy told me Dodge was adding it for 2017 - I thought Dodge already was using it on 2500 Diesel pickups ??

Ram used an alternative method of nox emission control (a lean nox trap) on the 2500/3500 pickup trucks until 2013, when they added the DEF system.

The flatbed 4500/5500 Rams got DEF a little earlier, I think it was 2011 but am not positive.

Popular Mechanics did a comparison test of 2016 Ram, Chevy, and Ford Diesel trucks. The Ram didn't use DEF, the others did.
The Ram was 40 hp and about 80 lb-feet of torque less than the other two. In the test the reviewers stated that Dodge's decision not to use the DEF system resulted in a notable loss of power and towing capacity.

Maybe it was this article?

The 2013-up Rams definitely have DEF systems on them, as well as the 2014-up Ecodiesel 1500.
