I have a new VFN fiberglass 6 barrel hood for my 69 road runner, which I also bought their "lightweight" springs. I did not get the lift off style as I wanted the hood to open normally. Unfortunately, their springs came chromed and the paint guy says he could not paint them.

Can I use the AAR or T/A (says T/A hood springs are different) hood springs for my fiberglass hood? I found some repros on ebay and am curious if anyone else has used them on a b body hood. The chrome ones on the car now look like crap. Here is the link to the ebay units.

Cuda hoods are shorter & lighter than Challenger hoods, so the springs for each have different spring counts.

Yes, do you think one of the sets will work? I'll have to call VFN to get info on hood weight, spring tension, etc. I just don't like the springs and would like a set of painted ones that look factory.
