well after about 4 years now i just bought back my A12 Superbee. it was in Michigan and John Hivko trailered it all the way himself with his fiancee to my home tonight. What a great guy and gal.Everything went smoothly, and the attention to detail on this car is 2nd to none.
The car never looked better and it runs incredible.
BOB K. designed the cam and spec'd it out.
im thinking 12.0's with the stock G70-15 redlines and stock exhaust system.
you know with good ATCO mindshaft air, im wondering if it'll go 11.90's
it should be fun.

Sweet, hope to see it at carlisle this year.

Restoring a car to look "only" as good as the factory made it is like getting a boob job for your wife and having the doctor make them two different sizes to seem more natural

YOUR CAR looks beautiful and well detailed as well. i think in good air i can get it to run 11.95-12.00's thats mine shaft air.
its going to be a lot different racing on a G70-15 bias ply red line tire

Beautiful car.

I'm curious about the cam allowances in "Pure Stock". One might think that it actually means a factory stock cam. But apparently not. What is allowed? Any ramp rate? Any LSA? For a hydraulic, how do they determine the proper duration, measured at 0.004, 0.005, 0.006"... ?

BOB K. designed the cam for this car and i have no idea whats in it. i just got the car back yesterday and all i know it has 11.0 compression and a hydralic cam, i wonder if BOB K comes on here? maybe he could chime in?

BSB67 in the certification process I don't believe duration is checked just valve lift. The car should idle similar to a car with a factory installed cam. I am pretty sure faster ramps, more duration and wider LSA's are the order of the day.

what i got out of the cert process was lift check and "maybe" .050 duration. russ, i think you and i are the only people on the planet that check the other stuff.

69 1/2 SuperBees are hands down my favorite of all Mopars. Yours is absolutely awesome. I wish I had one.

I went and looked after I posted and I agree, I really think that is a big if. Where are they going to get the duration at .050 figures from? Some of the advertised factory numbers were way out there and NHRA has never policed duration just lift.

I've read some guys on this site beating up Chris, but I'm here to say SUPERSTOCKRACER's a stand-up guy. Everything with this transaction went smoothly!

I finally registered on this site...guess I'm a little slow, huh?

Anyway, Chris...enjoy the car! Be safe with it.

When I bought it, it needed a little TLC, and ran 13.99's. Last time out it ran 12.41 @ 109 mph.

Of course, I had a lot of help to get it there, especially from Paul Petcou (Beeware), Jack Lee (roadtrip), Bob K, Tom Fedrigo, Bill and Andy @ PSI, Dave @ ECS, Frank Baddleston's parts, the list could go on and on. You know how it is....

Time to move on to the next project!
