Are all the reproductions available from the various vendors made by the same company? are they all super thick wall hose? reason I ask is I'm trying to install mine and am having great difficulty not peeling the inner layer away and cannot get them to slid on to the fittings. Any tips or trick to install these damn things? Car is 68 Charger, 440.
Thanks for any help.

A little lubrication (ie: light oil, petroleum jelly, or white grease) on the end of the hose and the fitting will allow them to slide right on. And, no these lubricants will not harm the hose.

If you're concerned, antifreeze lubricates, too.

Thanks all for the replies. I ended up using white lithium grease. I was able to get them slid on the outlets for the heater core. Connecting them to the water valve for the a/c still proved to be a major challenge. Finally was able to get it though.

Dats what I use. You certainly would have a start of a very bad day if you were to break off the heater tubes that the hoses attach to by forcing then on.
