FM Bearing defect #213482

Has anyone else seen this ? This is the second set that I got with this defect. If you look at the picture, you can see the lines running under the plating. Deep enough to feel this with your finger. Looks like tool chatter or something. Both sets of bearings had it on the same lower thrust shell.

Looks like a 3/4 groove bearing to me, is the other side the same way? If not something is really wrong, send them back if the other side is not identicle to that side

It is a 3/4 groove and the other side doesn't have the chatter defect.

I have federal mogul 119m 3/4 groove mains. I just checked them,and mine are smooth all the way around on uppers and lowers.No chatter marks. Rob.

That is the same P/N. This is the second set that I got like this. Both have been sitting in the box for about a year. If I got two sets, than there must be a lot of defective product out there. What are the chances of winning the Lotto twice.

I have a set of 119m-10s on order through dan at performance only racing.I will get him to check mine before they leave the states. rob

Yes I have seen that and have used them with no problems.
