according to the motor tech archives a stock 383 engine weights 620 pounds. check out the archives for some added info. Don't forget to add shipping crate weight and some shippers add a oversize rate.

At least thats the way it was when I used to ship. Maybe you can guestimate and then have it weighed by the freight company for actual.
As for a guestimate, your looking at 550 to 650 pounds depending on how comoplete your ship combo is. mike
