I'm going to need to get pistons soon. I have never ordered custom pistons. I would like to know who you guys like and why, who has the most reasonable prices, and who has the best tech line for help and ordering.

Well worth the extra $300-400 over other forged
pistons.

JE ? .. ? .... who uses JE ? .... from the literature I have seen ... Diamond is the one that has LOTS of PS racers using their stuff.

Diamond is probably the most "user friendly" to order customs from if you buy direct & not through a dealer.

We really liked our Diamond (shelf) pistons for the 493. We have a set of custom Diamond pistons ordered for the new motor.

Anyone care to tell how much they cost? for 8? for 10?

The more options you want, the more they are going to cost per piston. I am a Diamond dealer and really like their products. Had bad results with some other brands. You are not going to save a bunch of money here, with one company. Diamond, JE, Venolia, CP, any of the top companies, the pistons are going to cost close to the same. You just have to find a company, or dealer that you are comfortable with and go with them.

Custom je`s here and I think they were about $680.00 give or take.

I had custon J/E's for my 496ci and the B1-TS engine has Custom BME pistons.
