I know the LX/LC platform SRT headers won't work....I have been reading about the hemi swap for weeks now and I can't remember where I saw it, but some guys said they used Jeep manifolds but they don't specify whether they were 5.7 Manifolds (not interested in this even if they do fit) or Jeep SRT manifolds. Has anyone used the SRT Jeep manifolds in their restomod and what transmission/suspension/header setup did you use? Thanks

I am researching for this fairly basic build: 1968 Roadrunner with 6.1L Gen 3 hemi, 4 speed 833, stock k member with torsion bars, etc.

We tried. They dont fit an A Body...the angle is all wrong.

Just do the TTI's. I had to ding mine a bit...but its not a huge deal.

The 6.4 Jeep manifolds are a nice swoopy cast manifold

Did you try to Jeep SRT manifolds on your roadrunner?

No, based on wades car they agreed they would have run into the firewall. I really wanted a mid length header because I've got my car low. I even tried a 5.7 eagle cast iron unshrouded unit and it didn't work.

That's disappointing. I found a pair of Jeep SRT manifolds for cheap....I also have a set of the LX JBA Shorties I may try but they probably won't fit either.

My Ideal set up would have been a middy header that doesn't have the collector parallel to the floor.

TTI makes them for the B/RB but not a 6.1...

Incidentally I raised the car anyway due to needing clearance for other things, so the Long tube TTI headers will work even better.

I have Jeep SRT8 stainless steel factory manifolds test fit in a 65 Dart on a 5.7 block. They will work, although I am going with coil over front shock/springs to gain pipe clearance.

Just curious what you are using out there to make the 833 bolt up to the 6.1?

They are identical to a small block except the Gen III has a top center bolt not used on a small block. The pilot on the 833 is a tad long for the Gen III pilot hole so you can either drill the crank deeper or shorter input on 833. No big deal, use a 130 tooth Gen III flywheel and a stock starter even works.

what flywheel is it? I am doing the same swap above in my dads 69 GTX and am having a hard time finding the exact flywheel. I thought it needed an offset into it? I have a part number for Mcleod but it doesn't work anymore, I found the one on Brewers and Mopar website but still doesn't say for sure that is what it will accomplish.

Does just a standard 130 tooth steel flywheel work with the 833 trans? We are running the factory bell housing and want to run the factory Z bar linkage if we can. Were you able to?
