Seems to be a lot of hate for hemis in the racing classes around my house. I already have a crossram and carbs, but tracks around me either outlaw hemis or require that you run a cast single 4bbl to run their classes

Is the Indy single dominator the only thing out there? I was also wondering what the difference in power is on a 1000+hp engine with a modified crossram versus the single Indy with a high quality dominator?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK
To add to this thread let me ask...
Is the Barton manifold worth the extra money over the Indy intake? any real world results between the two? Looks like its around a few hundred dollars more...

I have the Barton manifold on mine, but I have the Indy 426-4 manifold sitting on the shelf waiting to go on. It has larger runners and plenum area. It's the biggest cast single 4 manifold for a dominator out there. The Barton is a good piece, just not as big as the -4 Indy. CHIP

That's what I heard as well, that the Indy appeared to be a better candidate for big motors. I have no experience with either, so I hope someone that's played with them will reply.

I've never run either the Indy or the Barton but I've looked at both side by side and held them in my hands. The Barton weighs a ton, it's designed to be ported, ther's a LOT of extra metal in it. Dave

My Indy-4 is 2 tenths+ quicker than the Barton manifold that I tried with the same carb.
