Does anybody know of a narrow valve cover gasket that can be used with 1.680" O.D springs on a W-9 head that do not need to be trimmed to clear the springs?

Thanks!
Bill Lamb

I used the MP gaskets(silicone over metal) and had
to grind for each spring... I havent heard of any
narrow ones
EDIT
I also had to clearance the reverse lip MP valve
covers

Cometic makes a w9 valve cover gasket, and all pro makes a valve cover. W9 use the same bolt pattern as stock but they moved the front and rear rail. So if you want it to be correct get those.

Mike,

I was able to find some valve covers that I did not have to clearance, but was trying to avoid chopping the gaskets again.

Brett,
Thanks I will look into both of those gaskets, at least they may not need to be trimmed as much.

Bill

They will not need to be trimmed at all, they are the same width as the rail on your head.

Brent,

Am I correct that Cometic has two gaskets a W-2, W-5, W-7, W-9 model and a W-8 model?

I was expecting a W-9 only model and I am not finding it.

Thanks,
Bill

Get gasket and use that as a template. They changed a lot.

I found some info on the Cometic gasket site that I will use. I will have to order some gaskets to be sure
