Installing brakelines on my car, thought I read somewhere that the brakeline could not passover the crankshaft centerline? Does this mean my original front brakeline cannot be routed as OEM across the firewall and over to the right front wheel. I'm running a scattershield, I hope I do not have to go all the way up to the rad support and over do I? Car is a 66-B-body with Lamb brakes. Thanks.

I run mine inside a piece of stainless tubing that I attached to the firewall, in an area that passes over the bellhousing,,doing that will make it legal.

I ran mine up the front frame to the K frame and then thru the K frame to the other side and down the frame rail. Very simple and not much will get at it inside the K frame.

I ran my to the radiator suport..that way I could take the K-member out if I wanted to..without messing with the brake line.

whats the point of protecting the brake line on just the firewall becase it runs over the centerline of the crank flywheel or converter you could still knock the master cylinder off the fire wall if somthing really comes unglued parts dont just go strait up and down is a 365 degree thing if it comes un-glued if the brake line runs on top or inside edge of the frame rail rods could take it out I would think more protection would be required to accomplish much

same reason fuel regulator cant be mounted to the firewall, and any fuel lines near the trans have to be shielded. just extra little safety precautions.

nitrous is like a really hot chick with an std you want to hit it but youre affraid of the outcome.

Personal opinion no lines should be on the firewall and everything should be outside the framerails .
