I currently have a stock fuel sending unit which is 5/16 in my 64. I’d like to update it a larger size, I’m undecided if I should go to 3/8 or 1/2. I currently have a large volume Holley pump and ran 1/2 fuel line from the pump to the regulator. My motor is a 505 with 2 600cfm carbs. I know I could purchase a 3/8 but haven’t seen any 1/2 units for the 64's. What do you guys do if you want 1/2? Do you cut out the original line, bend up a new 1/2 and re-braze it? Does anyone know if I could I save some time and just purchase a 1/2 sending unit for my 64? Maybe a 3/8 is ok, any thoughts?

You could install another pick up in the tank(seperate
location) and use the currant line as a return.
I have made up pick ups out of the stock flange when
I worked in the fuel lab, either 3/8 or 1/2 but the
1/2 gets tight. Bend up the line to look like the
origanal and solder it in, mount the resistor card
on the line so its in the proper location for full
sweep(3/8" off of the bottom to the bottom of the float)
3/8 should be fine unless you have serious HP
EDIT
I believe Year One has the 3/8" pick up but not sure
for your year
