It’s easily regarded as one of the most iconic, influential and impacting car chase sequences in all of Hollywood. It’s been homaged, recreated and revered by countless television and feature films, and for a good reason: 1968’s “Bullitt” – a gritty modern film noir detective drama starring tinsel town’s “King of Cool” Steve McQueen – showcased an 11-minute car chase through the Mission District (and San Pedro peninsula) of San Francisco.
