One of my buddies has the v-belt set up and another buddy has the Gilmer? What's better and why? What do you have? Thanks Guys!

The pulleys and the belts are a little more spendy for the Gilmer, but if that's what's better, the little bit of money is not an issue. Just don't know what to put on.
