Well some of you know I have made some good changes to my car...... its a 3800lb e body and need some good advice as last time at track I failed and changed to much crap at once and paid for it... anyhow....

3800lb and best MPH was 124.43 what ET should have the car ran setup properly then ???

CHANGES FOR THIS YEAR...... nothing has been tested yet on new combo

11" Shelf Coan to Custom 9" .. same a a9seccuda runs (chip)

SS Springs to Caltracs / Split monos

CE on all 4 corners to Rancho 9 ways and calvert fronts

3.5"'s of Travel to 5"'s

26" tire to 28" fronts

28" Dot's to 30" rear Dot's

No more front swar bar

8 3/4 (3.91) to Dana 60 (4.10's)

Stage 3 Port Eddy Rpms 2.14*1.81 to MCH Max Wedge 2.19*1.81 Indy EZs

10.92 to 11.1 compression

Same Roller cam 248/254 @ .050 will change by end of season!

I have a full asst of jets now current BIGS dominator is 90 squared

what et and MPH can I expect now set up properly

and also some track day tuning advice and tips...

I would think 124 mph would be upper 10`s and as far as where to start, you may be visiting the track a few times to figure that out. If you can, chassis tune that puppy first and get the afr`s close to save a bunch of money and time or even damage if its lean. Then start w/ proper tire pressures, leave rpm`s and shift points.....then of course there`s shock settings, squirteres, final jetting etc. Get the idea?

It should have gone 10.65 with your MPH.
What was your old 60', with your new conv and the
4.10 you should be 60' a good bit better(take you
gain in the 60' and multiply it by 1.5 for the ET change)
Work on the 60' then work on mid track... top end
tuning is MPH.... remember 1 thing at a time... write
it down... if you have time back up the run to verify

Remember chassis is ET, HP is your MPH

Cant see how it couldnt? I ran 11.33 at 117.72 at 3800 lbs. 124 would get me a high .70 at worst.

72 RR, Pump gas 440, 452s, 3800 lbs, Corked, ET Radials,. 11.33@117.72. Same car, bone stock 346s, 9.5 comp, baby solid. 12.24@110.

sorry.. 10.96 is my best but pbody is right cause my 60fts have always sucked IMO and i feel i should have went quicker... the new converter and caltracs alone should help this

do you guys think I should tune my chassis first and then mess with jetting ... I messed up bad last time and did both same day... lol

Tires were et streets

I had so much bad luck in 1 day!

MSD chips were coming on 500 rpm early
broke a kmotion k 1000 spring last pass
kept bouncing of rev limiter
pin for secondaires broke off some how and had to zippy tied the crap (external sec.)
Alternator went out on me also and was running off battery kept recharging it off a jump..

plus I am just a track rookie i guess...

this was all in one day

with my new setup do you think I can get a 10.3 once dialed in..

you have the power, it's just going to take a little tuning to get where you want to be I think. I would set the jetting to factory specs and make a pass. you can then check the jetting and get an idea of what the chassis is going to do.

That 10.3 might be a bit much, I think a 10.5 might be about it

FWIW, here are some times from my Challenger last year running at 3750#s w/ similar MPH.

60 / 660 ET / 660 MPH / 1320 ET / 1320 MPH
1.481 / 6.776 / 100.17 / 10.720 / 124.12
1.479 / 6.768 / 100.34 / 10.696 / 124.72
1.474 / 6.742 / 100.85 / 10.662 / 124.69

It's all about the 60-ft.

After looking at your changes again, with the head
work and bigger valves.... I think you will run a
10.4 at 128...... if you can max out the package.
But its hard to say if your engine was near max to
give you the currant 124 mph(if you were FAT or LEAN)
you werent max HP, you made enough HP to run 124,
see what I mean
