What is the stock height and width of the aluminum 440-1 exhaust port sizes? I have used set that seems like the exhaust ports are big enough to need a special exhaust header flange instead of being able to use a stock size for the normal B-RB heads all comments welcome

They`re WAY too big for what your doing........I think you need to send em to me for further inspection and testing.

without pulling my headers off i couldn't give you an exact size but i do know std exhaust gaskets don't fit, they overlap the ports big time. the ICH gaskets allow for some extensive porting to make them holes waay bigger.

Please, any measurements will be helpful to see if mine are stock or enlarged

Cab,I have the first heads that they came out with and they measure 1.5" high by 1.675 wide. I had to grind my hooker comp headers so they lined up better.

440-1 will flow 270cm without the tube with just a cleanup.

As for flanges, any 2" or larger Hooker or TTI flange is adequate. Hope this helps.

540Duster, thanks I went out and measured both my 440-1 and my SR exhaust ports, the -1 measure(using a set of dial calipers)1.76 wide x 1.54 high. The SR are 1.665 wide by 1.310 high Dramatic differences I bought a set of the A body Hedman fenderwell headers last year for the Indy heads and have them on the car now on a 440 motor with a set of Eddy rpm heads on it, I will have to remove one side and measure the exhaust port flanges to see if they will work on both the SR and the 440-1 heads, I sure hope so Mike Swann, thanks also
