I'm heavily considering an AFCO Double-Pass radiator for my 5.7L swap.

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/AFCO-80130NDP-Extra-Capacity-Double-Pass-Universal-Radiator-LH-Filler,39530.html

Champion has a nice bolt-in for $210, but I am not quite a fan of the down flow with the inlet/outlet on the same side. I can't help but feel there would be significant stagnant flow toward the driver's side.

What else is out there?

Not a Hemi swap, but I used an Afco dual pass when I did the Torana's engine swap and it is a nice quality (American made, or they were at least, hopefully still are!) radiator.

Keeps it cool even with the a/c on even on the hottest days idling, running, what ever..

I have a wizard unit. Very nicely built, and made in the US.

I run a Be Cool 60176 crossflow the biggest one they make for big block engines. The outlets are on opposite side but the engine dosen't care. I run 2 Gates Green stripe hoses with an aluminum coupler for the bottom hose.
No problems at all at the track!

26" Dual pass from speedway motors. Maybe $150

The term "dual pass" is their way of saying 2-pass. In heat exchangers this means the tank end with the hoses has a divider in it that essentially cuts the core in half. So coolant flows in and crosses the core in half of the tubes. When it reaches the other side there's no place for it to go than across the tank and through the other half of the radiator, exiting at the other hose.

Result: the cooling water does not flow from inlet to outlet, bypassing the core.

I have also seen 3-pass radiators.

R.

Thanks all, I ended up going with the simple solution. $210 26" Champion radiator for the 3G Hemi conversion.

It's not my ideal radiator, but it gets one in the car with the least amount of fuss and ought to be more than fine for this low HP application.

The car needs to get back on the road ASAP!

US radiators triple pass optima 4 core, got it through Classic industries, I went with the copper brass because it looks original and cools well beyond what my hemi puts out. Tim

I got a Saturday off from class and managed to get my radiator in, not too many things left to install before I can ship the car for paint! It's a shame the polished tanks aren't optional, because I won't be leaving it that way. laugh2
