The thing with short cars like mine is that I will NEVER get the fronts as high as a B-body... just not enough wheel base BUT a short car looks better due to the angle

I agree nothing like seeing a monster C or maybe a big impala or galaxie carry the front for 100' or so. Monsters of the dragway

I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....

I dont remember the wheel base on a E-body but without checking a few thing I would think they can pull them the highest.... without tearing up the assend. What you have to look at is 2 factors... 1, is the wheel base... 2nd is the departure angle... this is the angle from the bottom of the rear tire to the closest point that will contact the ground on the back of the car (we use this angle when designing cars for coming off of car haulers). On a E-body the tire is fairly far back and the splash pan in the rear slopes under pretty good. Also a car that has a good bit of body seperation in the rear will have a greater departure angle(like a leaf spring car does)

The station wagons get my vote. I actually enjoy any kind of wheelstand, even little wheelie pops.

I gotta say that I don't care what body or even make it is, I dig wheelstands; especially, as others have noted, those that carry out a ways. I don't care for carnage, but serious pitch rotation is a beautiful and often graceful thing. If my car didn't yank the wheels, half the fun would be gone. From what I've seen, I'd agree with the earlier post about E-bodies - 'Cudas, especially - being able to get the most vertical of any Mopar. A wagon in the air always makes me as happy as a kid at Christmas.

Wheelstand schmeelstand - I just want to see a Mopar (any Mopar) beating the Chevies and Fords to the stripe.
Maybe you can get a chance to do that if I come down to your track. Wanna see if you can take the old Chevy????
BTW, love seeing a big old B body lifting the tires up.

I think the 67 GTX of Phil Roar, the Roar-in-hemi is my all time favorite, It took off like an airplane and landed like an airplane in 450 to 600 ft, a real crowd pleaser, ran at MCIR in Larue Ohio often!
Your right. Phil Roar was one of the first to ease em up and ease em down. Also the black 67 of Doug Hurley before his Mountian Hemi days was the same way. Wheels up the same each and every time.

I love to see any Mopar pulling the wheels. The A-bodies make such great race cars with the power to weight ratio. But I really love the older SuperStock Mopars and I am kinda partial to the Max Wedge cars. Ron
