Hello, does anyone here know what all it takes to go from the RE2 8.4" radio to the RB5 8.4 with navigation? I have seen some info saying all that was needed was the receiver and not the whole screen etc. Thank you for any info.

I did that same upgrade on a 2013 Dart I used to own. Yes, all you need to change is the telematics module. Just make sure you get the correct RB5 module for you Journey. I found mine on carpart.com. You will need the vin from the car it was pulled from to get the security code to unlock it. It will have to be programmed by a dealer to work.

Thanks for the reply, I had discovered the same as you after some research. It seems the people who drive these family cruisers don't frequent message boards as much as us gear heads and it really took some digging.

The dealer sold the car before we came back to buy it. Going to look at a 2014 R/T today that already has the RB5. Thanks again.
