Everyone is saying to get rid of it but what do you guys put in its place ? The reason I ask is because the aluminum center sec the bolt holes are 2in on center and the iron housing are 2-3/8in on center.I was going to mod the snubber I have but it doesnt have enough meat.Should I cobble 1 up from scratch or just run w/o it?

Depends on your setup, some 60ft better with a snubber and some don't. My car hooks better with it on. I would try it without and see how it runs.

The only Carbs I care about are under the hood!

If you have good springs with the front segments
clamps this will eliminate the spring rap up which
is what the pinion snubber does. If you have the good
springs you will also need a good adjustable shock
to control the body lift

I have the 002/003 ss springs comp 3 way shocks.I had it set before at 1in off of floor and my 60ft are in the 1.51 range.I was going to put it back on but it will not line up right .I was wondering if I should waste my time to make 1 or just forgetaboutit.

I wouldnt bother with it IF you have your springs
clamped and I would dial those shocks to the max
on extension

The clamps on the front segments make the front
more rigid(stiffer). A leaf spring does 2 things
(not counting the side to side location). The
front segment is a trailing link... it holds the
rearend at a certin distance back then acts like a
lesser version of a ladder bar... you want the front
STIFF. The rear segments are the spring portion of
it(holds up the body) that you want somewhat free
moving. But if you get the front nice and stiff you
will need good shocks to control the lift of the body
that the stiff front segments will try to do

thanks. I might make me a set for the front section. I have some stout shocks in the front (konis) and in the back). I may go with some softer ones in the front to get the front up a bit. my car sits pretty flat as it takes off
