Hello,

Looking at the Holley pieces 112-587 or the 112-602. The 602 says race only and I would lose the timed spark port but with EFI its not needed. Some linkage differences also. Appears to be exact same casting between the two. Wilson and others make some nice ones just not sure their worth the extra coin? What's your thoughts?

This is for a 528ci MW ported RPM's and M1 337 intake. Cam specs of @.05 260, 268 adv. 290, 305 lobe lift .431, .440 with 1.6 rockers. CR is 10.7 and will have some track time along with street. Haven't decided between the Holley or Fast systems.

Thanks
Damon

Personally I'd go with Accufab and I wouldn't worry too much about the connectors. Most of them use the late model GM TPS and IAC and the plugs are easy to change anyway. As far as a race throttle body; throttle bodies are just air valves so you can't "over carburate" it. Some race-only TBs don't have provisions for the IAC but you definitely want to run an IAC.

The only difference in the two throttle bodies is the linkage basically. One has kickdown provisions and the other has a 1.1 RACE type linkage. I always prefer the 1.1 linkage myself. And as mentioned, the TB is only an air valve, making one no better than another really. The Accu-Fab will cost you nearly twice as much the Holley you are asking about and does nothing different

Mr. P: I really haven't figured out what system. I currently have an old Accel/DFI system on the car. I really don't have the tuning expertise to get it running the best. I want a pro turner for this new motor. I'd like to know if someone in my area was a crack tuner then i'd go with the system he was familiar. I'm in St Louis, MO.

Should I go with the 4500 size and put a tapper under her?

Is this for the 528?
If so I'd go dominator flange. I have a Wilson 1500 Cfm on my Valiant.

Matt Bell has a shop in that area. He is a Holley dealer, as well as having a dyno and complete shop facility. He races a turbo Mustang, but can tune anything.

Redline Motorsports in Bloomington IL is only a couple hours from St Louis
