Thought anyone considering this mount on "A" bodies, specifically early ones, may be interested in my mess. Engine plate is also new.

Damn! I dropped my change.............

that looks like exactly what i need. did u make it yourself or buy it? i have a motor plate that i'm going to be installing in my 69 cuda and was wondering how to mount my alternator in the same location as yours. right now im using a modified small block chev bracket without my motor plate, but in the same location.

I bought the plate also. The alternator is mounted agaist the plate, but the stud extends from the lower dr.side tc bolt. Worked out well enough. The alternator is solid. Adjusting bracket is homemade from 3/16" plate. It's not likely to bend...............
