I know a lot of you run these. Do you use the the top cap (where it says MSD)? Kind of a pain to route wires so you can screw it on.

That cap really is just to keep the wires on the post.Buy a set of firecore 50 wires and throw the retainer away.I never had a spark plug wire that snaps on that good and stays.


If the MODS did their job I would not be hitting the notify MOD button. LOL

I use it cos it looks cool but don`t really need it w/ msd`s or firecores which I use now.

yes, the purpose of the cap is to make sure the plug wires don't come off. why would you not want to use it

FWIW, I use it and have never had a problem taking the cap off with the wires still attached.

I could not get my old wires to fit correctly with it with the MSD dizzy but use one with my NRC distributor and firecore wires

I never used the top until last year, I had a problem with one of my wires (new) popping off the post, so on went the top.

I plan to get Firecores someday, we'll see if they'll stay on.........................
