So im trying to find out , what years of the 2.4L had the crank end play/seal problem ? Is it 2004-2007 ? Did they fix the problem in 08? And what was changed ?

Uhhh.... This is pretty much a classic car forum, right?

I never ran into any crankshaft or seal trouble on any 2.4 litres. I have a 2002 and a 2007 right now, and a few customers cars with the 2.4. No problem with any of them.


There are lots of questions about newer cars on here.

I got a 2004 stratus recently and remember someone saying that problem was fixed by then so I think it was earlier than 2004...?
