Is it ok to use a grey fine Scotch bright pad to de burr the tops of my pistons? I just want to break up any stress risor, or detonation hot spots.

What do you guys use?

Kasey

If there not ready for use now, unless you cut or did have extra deep valve reliefs cut into them, return them to the manufacturer

They are Diamond pistons, they are VERY nice, but they have some shap edges. I took a non destructive testing, metalurgy class in colege, and know it doesnt take mutch to have a hot spot, and start detonation. Im just making sure nothing is overly sharp.

gray, red or blue scotchbrite will be fine. it's a good idea to just dull those edges and it only takes a few minutes.
