Shop truck. Nothing pretty, nothing fancy. 395HP VVT Hemi in a 3200 lbs. Dakota.

Yes it is retarded and a huge waste of resources and time. Sometimes it's nice to just slam something together without worrying about every little aesthetic detail. And I do mean slammed together!!

My calculator says high 12's with parts in the bed…..

Nice project . How hard of time did you have getting the motor where you wanted it? I have thought an older dak with a hemi and a turbo would make a fun truck. Any idea what it weighs with the hemi?

Truck weighed 3080 with 3.9L. Haven't weighed with Hemi, but it sits 2" higher than the V6 in the front with the Hemi engine and trans!

You are busted. There is no way this will remain as nothing pretty or fancy. That isn't in your genes.

Old, tired, and sometimes broke down. Me, not my car...

Just keeping the WCM, cluster, shifter, and TIPM. Cut down the harness, did away with the LIN Buss, and just wired in CAN C, CAN IHS, and Diag C Buss. Don't need this:

New harness is much smaller:

And it runs! Don't worry about the warning lights for all the systems no longer active. They will go bye-bye.

It'll probably go 11's when I'm done….and still look like a huge POS.

I think some feelings are going to get hurt when on a parts run...

back when I did my '94 440 Dak, there were 43{?} wires in the steering column alone.. I got that down to 21.. I know you're having fun..

Do you know Greg Zenetti/Zeneski from Naples, FL? Used to be a member on this site. He designed the bb motor/trans mounts I used in mine. He was using his "shop truck" as an r&d vehicle.

Mine went 11.72..

Not really. Just threw it together and called it done. Probably has 15K on it now. It's been down to Miami and up to NC several times. Still embarresses Mustangs, Camaro's, and even the Challengers.
