Guys,

I have some reproduction rally wheels going on a 71 Demon. They are a gray color. What is the best spray can version of the argent wheel paint to buy? I've heard people recommend Krylon Dull Aluminum #1403 and mixed results with Mopar Performance Wheel Paint P4529876. What is the current recommendation?

I use this stuff, I bet you could get it put in a spray can. It's the original number from the body service manual, matches perfect imo. I have sprayed many quarts and gallons since the eighties on wheels and lot's of other trim with it over the years. I used it many projects, not all mopar and it looks great every time. I can still get it mixed in northern Ky, I just called them last week and checked on this number and another and they still have stuff to mix it they said.

Checkout my old thread from a few weeks ago, I used it on a truck grill.

Randy, go to PPG and have them take the DDL paint code and put it in an aerosol can for you. You can have this done at PPG or ACS in Carterville.

Thanks Larry. Do you typically gloss clear over the top of that, or just leave as is?
