I put a Lunati Voodoo cam .517 lift in the 360 I built for my Mom's Duster. It is pump gas and about 10.2to1 compression. Steel worked J heads, 750, Airgap, 3200lbs and has run 11.70's in the 1/4 with an ignition problem. 7.44@91 was the best in the 1/8th. It idles at 800rpm and makes great torque. Car has gone 1.62 60'. Good luck. I don't know if this is the best cam for you but it's a good cam. A nice hydraulic roller would be cool.

Gina's 72 has almost the same set up. Only difference between hers and your is the auto trans.
We have a Luanti Vodoo cam in it. Jegs PN 638-60403LK
We got it together just before the season ended so we have yet to get the combo fine tuned but it has gone a best of 12.97.

hydraulic or solid? flat tappet or roller?
I'll probably suggest smaller on the race board than most, but I'd keep .050 duration down to the 224-230 range for .050 duration on the intake for good streetability.
hydraulic, I'd look at a voodoo 670403 or comp XE275HL, or similar .050 duration hughes grind.
juice roller, I'd look at a comp XR274HR or XR280HR or similar duration hughes grind....
solid, probably something designed for a ford .875" lifter for a flat tappet--I'd be real leery of a comp MM lobe cam for low maintainence street duty...roller, again I wouldn't go super aggressive (even though you don't have to worry so much about eating lobes) to get some semblance of sping life. for a solid, I'd probably look for one that has 230-245 .050 duration on the intake.

thanks for all of the help guys !!i think i have it narrowed down to just 3 cams .comps (xs282s)solid (xe275hl)hyd ,or even lunati (lun-60403lk) .now will these cams all work with the ootb edelbrock springs . and if i go with the solid do i just drop the lifters in and go or is there some oil mods that should be done .thanks again
