I was just looking at a listing from Summitt on Brodix B series heads for a small block. Any info on them ? Can I still use my intake , rockers and headders with these heads ? Anybody had any real world experience with them ??

when I asked the question of a couple of builders it was pretty much stated to me that the investment vs return on HP just isn't there.

depends on what you're trying to do I guess. My MP iron headed 360 is pretty basic, but will go 10.8's on a good day in Vegas. Flat tappet, non roller adjustable rockers, KB pistons. Nothing fancy.

what kind of budget do you have? and how heavy is your car? the reason I am asking is I have a complete 360 with fully ported 360-1s by Dwayne Porter I will make you a heck of a deal on. this motor stock stroke ran 10.40 @@ 129 at 3050lbs

Have a set, need to build custom headers as my TTI's had problems with the plugs. Rocker stands to use shaft style rocker, pushrods and intake spacers for me. Good luck whatever you decide

shruggy seems to me the engine you have probably wouldn't perform much better than what he has..... although the potential is there with the heads. Mph/et I'm assuming is from the basement you live in (florida). Not going to get nines in the OP's car with that. I've lost count how many times we've kicked our 360 to the curb.... just to end up dragging it back out as one of our "fast" builds gives us grief. We tried to sell it on two different occasions from carb to output shaft of the trans.... nice 904, converter that works good with the combo for $2500 and nothing but tire kickers.

don't know why anyone would want to go that route with the reputation they have. plenty of better options out there.

I was reading a little more on them too. It is such a shame they look pretty nice .
I really have a pretty good platform for my car. x block 4 bolt mains so swaping for another engine wound not work for me. I really would like to find a good flowing set of stock configuration heads. The cost of buying so many additional parts sure makes it tough to justify.

member Spareparts has these.... would be nice if he had the rockers, etc... of course, you'd still be looking at custom headers.... but boy the potential smile

Selling my brand new still in the box 59* Mopar W9 heads. These have never been on an engine! Fully CNC ported by Brett Miller, including a ported tall deck 772 intake and Ti intake valves, stainless exhaust valves. I've gone another direction and these can go to a new home.

he said fully laugh2

touche' laugh2 ....but I guess with the OP wanting to go 9's, I'd invest here rather than the Brodix. Both expensive, one will deliver. OR.... a nice W2 would suffice too and there are headers available to a degree. I could contact the guy that bought my complete W5 set up... they're still sitting in boxes as far as I know. heads, intake, rockers, studs....
