Does anyone have a picture of correct 1970 disk brake caliper brackets? What numbers are cast into the (R) and (L) brackets?

There is no left, or right, bracket.
Both are the same.

Numbers on them are just something from the foundry, that probably only meant something in the manufacturing process.
Meangless to you and me, whatever they are.

Awesome! Thank you for the picture

Do you know if there is a difference between 1970 and 1971 brackets?

Nope, none.
Brackets never changed, in all the years that the pin type calipers were used on the cars, as far as i know, for the 10.8 inch rotors.

I think what Rob is looking for is the picture that maybe Snoopy posted years ago showing the difference between the '70 and '71 ? and later version brake calipers.

Thanks all for the great information and the help. If you have a picture of the 70 vs. 71 caliper, that would be great.

Is that what your after from the beginning? shruggy

I have a pair of 70, early 71, single piston calipers, that i rebuilt, that i never put up for sale, so i have pictures in my computers files.

I took pictures of the 70, early 71, with the "wide mouth" compared to what was used after that.

You looking for a pair?
e mail me.
Won't be cheap though, i know what i have.

I was originally asking about the brackets, but I had also never seen the difference between 70 and 71 calipers. Thanks for the pics!
