I got back to work on the 35 PU project
I got the front end parts back together and on and the steering looks to work great now.
got the headlight and shock mounts on.
changed the steering wheel and set in the seat(thanks Craig)...
sanded down the bed and got it in primer...
made a brace on the grill shell for the front of the hood set on
and fitted the hood a little more..

so It's starting to look like a truck again...

looks good ron ! up glad some of us are making progress on our projects. is that wood, grant wheel the one you are going to use ? i always liked the feel of those, and the 13 1/2" diameter ones felt like the "right" size to me.

I'm liking it! Good call on thinning the herd a bit

Old, tired, and sometimes broke down. Me, not my car...

Man, I'm loving that '35 PU. What's powering it again? 318? 360?

Edit: Nevermind... 383... Nice!

both have 69 440's in them.
the 35 has stock heads and the
race truck has Edelbrock heads
both have MVB 727's in them
35 has an 8 3/4 with 3.23 gears and
the race truck has a 4.10 dana with a spool

they both should be pretty quick

Don't do it Ron! He'd just trade it for a puppy.

I picked up a set of hidden hinges from ebay like these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/331429257184?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82

and made the doors suicide
and used VW rabbit door latches.

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow of the latches... up
