Hi guys!

I have decoded my 1968 RR tag and on the interior trim/upholstery it says it is

TRM/DL4 = deluxe bench seat interior - "parchment & tan"
U/Y = "medium tan metallic" Upper Door Frame paint

I am trying to define which is the correct interior for my car as well as the correct color to paint the inner door sheetmetal....and Im having some trouble trying to determine whats right.

I have called Legendary and they havent been of much help.

And I did some color code searches and the color formula I came up with turns out to be some kind of GOLD interior paint. I wonder if its the right shade????

This is a picture I saved off a prior post and I was told this was supposed to be the right interior for my car...

When I called Legendary they said this: "Ok, so this is supposed to be a parchment/tan interior, which equates to our fawn/oyster combo for the 68 Roadrunner Deluxe bench style."

They havent been of much help regarding the door panels. I wonder if the ones on this interior pic would be the right ones?? Should they be monotone or 2 tone??? What about the door panel style??? Mine is a 2 door post car I would think it would have the simpler style door panels????

I will post pics and please help me get this straight....so I can order the right stuff off Legendary for my car!

This is the metallid goldish tanish paint I had mixed according to the computer formula. I wonder if this is the rigght, (or at least close) color to the supposedly correct:

U/Y = "medium tan metallic" Upper Door Frame paint

Now these are the "light fawn/oyster" (as Legendary calls them) seat covers which I think should be the ones called "parchment and tan" when I decoded my fender tag....am I right??? Are these the right ones for my car???

Now Legendary has these other seat covers which they call: "parchment and gold".

As you can see the stitch pattern is different and so are the colors...but this is the only style Legendary has that has "parchment" as part of the name....so it kinda keeps me wondring....

I think I already figured it out. I should have these 2 in oyster/light fawn.

The 1st photo in the thread is the correct interior. Inserts darker than bolsters on the base interior. Pleated inserts are '69 style; '68s were Reed grain, no pleats. I think someone here has a late '68 with the '69 pleated inserts, but my earlier (pre-4/68) base-interior cars all had unpleated Reed inserts.
Door panel vinyl should be one color, as in 1st picture, not 2-tone on base models.
Why the 2-tone door panels and the reverse-scheme base-level seat covers are even made is beyond me; not correct, but I guess there's a market for them.
Decor interiors used lighter inserts & darker bolsters, but base didn't.
The door paint is a lightish gold: cross-reference Ditzler #22861, 81582, & 81600 for that and the plastic trim, and 81601 for the dash & column "suede finish".
Also see the '68 Color & Trim Guide on the Hamtramck Historical site.
