Anyone going or have you ever heard of it? Used to go for like 10 years straight, then went drag racing. I can hear them today, makes my adrenaline flow hearing those engines scream. Anyone a fan?

This is the 45th year and they flat drag on sand and a steep up hill drag on pea gravel. Plus a obstical course on Monday. It's pretty wild, all jeeps and 4 wheel drives.

It's a small town thing, here near a big town that's been going on for 45 years around here. The place is a old gravel pit and a club owns it. They put on a heck of a show on pea gravel, which requires big horsepower because your driving on ball bearings.

Naturally several of my friends were/are members, not my myself. I did race there one year in the stock class with my 360 powered 87 ramcharger and made it to the finals. Just had to be a east coast member.

I have a business across the street from the gravel pits. Today I heard all kinds of hi horse power machines getting it on. I can clearly hear the blower cars over the naturally aspirated jeeps.

There are at least 5X or more hi horse power cars than there were just 10 years ago. It sounded impressive today, not like it was 10-15 yeras ago when an lot of barnyard junk showed up.

It's a premiere east coast thing for jeeps, 7 miles from home. wave
