got an old baracuda that was an ex gasser back in the day..it has ladder bars AND a single leaf spring..old style suspension again from back in the day.. how does he adjustment set?? it is all the way down..car seems to hook pretty good ( has 14x32's)but seems to be kinda soft..took out last night and was not pleased with performance over what we had before, but we got some bugs and tuning to work out. it sets really high in the rear and does not seem to transfer good.would moving the adjustment up toward the floor pan help or hinder?? never ran anything that didn't have basically stock suspension, so i'm learning!! thanks to all!!

the higher the front is set the harder
it hits the tire. The more power you apply the
lower you can go with the front heim. Also the
higher it is the shorter the hit is on the tire,
in other words if it hits the tire then spins,
lower it some, the lower the bar the longer the hit is

how much do the rear shocks have to do with the setup? the shocks on it now are just normal old gas shocks. will a softer shock help things? thinking of adj shocks?

I'm WAY too baked to drive to the devil's house.

A ladder bar car needs GOOD adjustable shocks, the
bars are going to give you alot of body seperation
and you have to control that and thats done with
good adjustable shocks. You might find that you will
be at or near the max setting on extension, depending
on what shock you use
