With minor bowl work i went 9.54 in my dart at 3000 lbs, 499 cubesb with a roller, 12.8/1 compression, and a dominater 9375. So you should see similar performance if you put just a bit of work into the bowls as suggested.
8..603 156 mph best, 2905 lbs 549, indy 572-13, alky

Thanks guys, I will disassemble them and give the a treat with the die grinder. CNC is out of my budget, but smoothing everything, especially the bowls I can do myself.
What is best protection for the valveseats when grinding the bowls except not to contact them with the grinder?
take your time by the seats!using a short extension with sanding cones will be more stable and wont chatter on you with a slower rpm.maybe put tape on the seat.

Dont start the grinder till the cutter/drum is below the seats in the bowl. Make sure also to have the right cutter. And for Pete's sake dont let a $1000 head be the first thing you practice on.
