So the story begins........ I've had this old style 8896 3 circuit Dominator for some time. It had been converted to a 2 circuit back in the late 80's by a pro carb shop before I bought it. They had modified the stock metering blocks to achieve the 2 circuit set up. Tuning this carb has always been an an issue for anything but WOT. At idle this thing would kill plugs in no time, cruising they would soot up pretty good on an evening jaunt around town. So I sent my carb to Thumperdart to get this thing right. He installed a pair of Quick Fuel billet metering blocks and 12 hole boosters with his modifications to them along with his tune up and other magic touches. All I can say is THANK YOU THUMPERDART! I now have a carb that I took "out of the box" with only a slight idle screw adjustment (probably ended up back where he had it in the first place ) that is leaner, cleaner and meaner than what I had before by a loooong shot. Now with some "slight" tuning touches here and there I can "tune" this carb to perfection with a wide band if so desired. Only had the opportunity to take the car for a short cruise because it seems to rain every day around here this summer Driving characteristics are MUCH improved and when I stand on it the Phoenix 29.5 x 11.5's are really grappling for grip now

Man that's awesome.I hear you on the rain, it seems like its rained every Friday here in MO sense may.lol I need to get off my butt and send dom my tunnel ram carbs. when are you going to try out your tunnel ram? I would like to see how it compares to the dominator/intake you have now. If you need to i can loan you my tunnel ram linkage to use.

I've had a Thumperized carb sitting on top of my motor for the last few months or so and with all my congested work schedule in place, I was not able to fire up to see the results. Now that there is light at the end of the tunnel and I'm planning on bringing the car to Detroit for the dream bruising, I'll see first hand. Can't wait. Thumper was excellent in turn around time, explanation, keeping in contact and suggestions. Keep you'll posted soon enough myself. Thankxx Lee........I`m anxiously waiting to hear your results.......

Rain, rain.... go away Well get off your butt and send him those carbs.... you won't be disappointed I need one more Proform main body and 2 pair of Quick Fuel billet metering blocks for the tunnel ram carbs...... then send them off to Thumperdart. I'm not even going to mess with trying to run them "as is" after the great experience with the Dominator he did for me! Thanks for the offer on the linkage but it's going to be a little while before I can gather the other parts.

Timely, well explained, great contact and an awesome finished product! I expect you will experience the same positive end result. A carb that performs as it should from idle, through intermediate throttle to WOT. Sure, I "may" find it needs a little tweak here or there. But never have I taken a carb "out of the box" and been so impressed with the performance top to bottom

I sent a carb to Dom a couple of months ago. Can't say enough about how pleased I was with his customer service and turnaround time. So excited to try this thing out so I can write another positive review about his tune. Work has been keeping me from the track this year and an upcoming trip will make the hold even longer. Hang tight Dom, I will be ready to have the car out in August! Hope you are enjoying yourself! Thanks again for everything, Mike
Better get inside Ma. Looks like a storm's comin'.
