HOLY COW! I just spilled my coffee! I cant imagine someone paying that for trim rings! Maybe I'll sacrifice them for a straight axle on my 55 chevy, my car came with 14x6 dog dishes... no sense in me hanging on to something that I have no use for...

Are they NOS from 1990 or newer? Then they are probably 15x6.5 rings that were sold as 15x7's.

Need to actually measure them or get a date with part number on the package.

I have a set of NOS 15x6.5 ones from 1991. I don't think those are anywhere near 3-4K.

Correct, most "real" 15x7 trim rings(3" tall/deep) ones were shipped in bags and are not seen very often.Chrysler never changed the part number once they narrowed them up in the mid 70's and a few people think they have real ones only to be disappointed.

Correct.... and the 6.5 style are found to have this decal with a date and usually came in a box.

True original 15x7 trim rings have this decal as seen on this NOS ring, or 3461043 for chrome, no date on the decal....or the seldom seen 'Chryco' Canada one below

Hmmm this gets me thinkin... My car was bought from the second owner with a trunk full of NOS parts in 1988. So that would rule the early 90's rings out... Now when the last owner purchased the parts I have no clue. I know that she at least owned it since 1979. I would imagine that these rings are from the early 80s maybe late 70s.

I don't have them in front of me because they are at the shop. I'll have to get some pics and part numbers on Friday. I do know that they are in a bag. The old paper backed ones with the almost yellowish looking plastic on the top.

Never really put much thought in them cause my car came with dog dishes, and I have a build sheet to back it so I didn't want to go changing it up for looks. I do enjoy rally's, but I'm a purist and like my car the way it came. I knew that they worth a lot, but not that much. Hopefully they are the true 15x7 rings.

I'm guessing the last true 15x7 trim rings 3461043 were going or gone from the system by 1976 or so, and the 3461022 before that.
In 1975 or 76 I ordered four 3461043 trim rings.
When they came into the dealership, 3 were the true 15x7's and one was a 15 x 6.5.
I never knew this until a couple years later when I went to use them on a car.
I went to the dealer and complained and they repeatedly ordered 3461043 but they all came in 6.5 so I just kept them.
15 x 6.5 rallye rims were on Charger/Daytonas, etc in 1975-6 and vehicles before that so they used the 15 x 6.5 chrome rings ( borrowed from GM Cutlass Supreme...exact same trim ring )
The 7 inch ones were phased out ( scrapped) because Chrysler was using the same part number for the 6.5.

The printing and the packaging look too new.The only two real trim rings I have seen were in blue and white all paper bags/packaging....but you never know.Measure one out of packaging by holding a ruler next to the outer lip and see what the height is.3" or 2 1/2"

I stuck a tape measure and they look like they are 3" depth.. I'd have to stick a straight edge on it to be 100%...
I picked the cleanest packaged one so I get yall some good pics...the one that was stacked on the top shows a bit more age. The packaging is in great shape because they were stored in the trunk of the car..except for a few nibbles from the rats! eek

The more I look at them the deeper they look!! But like I said the one true test will be to measure them with s straight edge.Nice parts regardless.I wish they were in my trunk!!

There should be one of the two decals on the trim rings that I posted pictures of earlier.
Every trim ring I have ever seen had a decal.
Which decal is on them.
As Jim stated packaging looks to be the newer style.
I still have the wax paper my 6.5's came with, although the 3119 number looks interesting.

Looks like I have the 6.5" version. The date code is too late, and they measure out at about 2-3/4"? I suppose I could be measuring wrong...none the less, I'm sure they're worth something to someone...

Currently with lack of any good reproduction out there your 6.5's are the next best thing to the real deal 7's.
Definately worth money.
