Has anyone used the Hot Coat system for powder coating at home. Is it worth purchasing? How well does it hold up?

Powder is powder. It needs proper prep to stick, the proper thickness to cover smoothly and the proper temp to melt. The question is ... will your wife let you use the oven and is it big enough for your stuff!

The powder coater I've used is so damn cheap its just not worth the effort or expense - and he already has every color under the sun !!

I will probably have to get a separate oven or toaster. My wife wouldn't be to happy using the house oven. I could just see her expression!

When I decided to get into powder coating I put the word out that I wanted an electric oven cheap or, preferably, free. Got many offers and picked the best for free.

Turns out many wives just can't stand their kitchen for reasons unknown and insist on a remodel even though every appliance is in perfect condition. Lots of perfectly good ovens sitting around waiting to go to the dump.

Any feedback on the $100 Eastwood version or the $70 Harbor Freight version?
