Does anyone have the engine specs on the old crate motors. Picked up a used one that a guy spun a bearing in. Before I go to far with it does anyone know the cam specs and what the cylinder bore is? The motor doesn't have any ring grove and it appears to just need the crank polished so far.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

When the engines were being produced I understand they were just pulled from the production line. So bore would be 4.000" Later on, when the 5.9s weren't being produced, they used used blocks which required oversize pistons. Then when the $10,000 Mag crate motors came out they used replacement blocks and back to 4.000".
That's how I remember it.
