Okay, this might not be completely race related but since it is probably pouring sleet for 50% of the readers here I thought I would post this link. Plus, there will probably never be a Crucian Carnival comparison versus Trini Carnival versus Grenadian versus Bajan Carnival debate the way there is for the 8-3/4 versu Dana 60 versus Ford 9 inch (why would anyone buy a car named after the maintenance schedule).

As people might know, Carnival is a big part of the culture here in the Caribbean. This year, the Caribbean Drag Racing Association (CDRA) had a float in this year's Crucian Christmas Festival Parade. The Adult's Parade is held on the closest Saturday to 3 Kings Day (the 6th January, the day that the 3 wise men supposedly made it to Jesus' manger, hence the 12 Days of Christmas, which actually start on Christmas Day) American marketers have worked hard to keep this under wraps. As a PK (Preacher's Kid) I am up on this, we always kept the tree up until the 6th January.

Anyway, here is the link to some pictures of some of the faster cars down here in the parade and also some pictures of the parade which are always fun. Check out the Mocko Jumbies, those people are up on stilts way taller than their bodies. I have seen girls in the 7th Grade on stilts that are maybe 8 feet tall.
