Spare float bowl gaskets...or rub some vaseline on the gaskets next time you have the bowl off.

I use chap stick on the gaskets. And don't forget something to drain the bowls into.

Remember your jetting for MPH, I like to jet up 2
jet sizes at a time till you peak MPH then back down
1 jet size and see what it does

I dont understand the question. If you are asking if
you just jet the mains, well you have the pri and sec
jets(is this a Holley)

You should change the main jets, I do both the primarys and secondarys at the same time unless I see a need for staggered jetting, for the mph and then do any fine tuning on the HS bleeds. I normally start on the idle circiuts before I do any main jet changing and the same on the accelerator pump circiuts and squirters, in other words I do the idle and staring line first and do the main jets lasts

A bunch of handy rags in case of a spill. And a catch device for fuel drainage. Plus all of the above already stated. mike

I like to change jetting the same amount all around from what the carb was made with. Unless you are really good at reading plugs and/or know how your fuel distribution is, I figure it's best to keep the "balance" Holley set it up with.

Accellerator pump squirters and cams will help tune your 60' & 330' times, especially if the jetting changes that help mph end up hurting '60. What's optimum on the top end can richen or lean out your launch air/fuel ratio.

A Holley tuning book can also be helpful with tuning tips, pump cam specs, etc. I like the one by HPBooks.

Those books cover all the Holley carbs and the tuning tips are basically the same for all. I never did get into air bleed modifications. But it's best to figure out the jetting, squirters, pump cams, power valve (if any), etc. first.

I think this is the latest edition: Holley reference book by HPBooks @ Summit.

There are a few others out there.

....and do have a fire extinguisher handy. Trust me, you never know when you might develop a leak or forget to tighten something!

I use a spray paint can cap for jet changes. The right cap will almost catch all of the fuel out of the bowl.
