So I finally got my brakes working and now the booster is going weird.
the internal check valve is crapping out and making like I am standing on the brakes as I come to a stop.

This would be the 3rd one to replace if I decide to do it. Each one only has a year warranty. They last about 4 or 5 I guess.

I am wondering if there is a factory booster that will bolt in where this aftermarket one is now that I could swap in from a parts house.

I don't want to look for the unobtainum power booster for a 65 coronet or the linkage for the pedal they don't make anymore.

Or pay 500 to the place that repros them.

Is there a database I can look at that gives me dimensions of all the current boosters out there? bolt pattern and diameter?
or am I stuck just going through whatever the parts stores list?

If your looking at keeping it "original" looking, then you'll need to source the parts, if function is primary, and "correctness/Numbers matching" is unimportant I'd suggest a dual diaphram Bendix style booster 66-70 B body application, MBM makes the entire set up, booster/master/firewall plate/linkage, yeah your going to pay some coin either way...IIRC DocDiff (Moparts member) is an MBM dealer, I'd suggest you contact Cass/DocDiff

Or go Hydroboost if you already have power steering...or want to just add a pump.

So I have done too much to the car for caring about looking original.

I was looking through a bunch of boosters and was hoping to find something like a 90's intrepid booster might work.

rather than go old stuff again. something that any parts store might carry vs special order.

was just hoping someone might have done some of the research before me so I am not reinventing the wheel.

I don't see any benefit to hydroboost for the 500 they want for their kit, over the other stuff out there. at that price, I could keep myself in cheesy chinese junk for the next 25 years.

but if I can find a modern replacement, even if I pay 200 or so for it, I can get it swapped out at any parts store later if I need it. instead of waiting weeks for something to ship from overseas.

they couldn't have designed these universal boosters from scratch. it must have come off something.

A booster?

You may be shorter than Adrian, G, and me but I didn't think a booster was in order.

We'd have to do some measuring but I'm sure something can be found.

Are you running a straight through system now or does it have a funky linkage?

so it is a straight through, but to this bracket you see at the back of the booster.
it adapts the booster to the firewall manual brake holes.

they both have different bolt patterns.

the bracket has the weird pivot linkages in it.

I was hoping to find a booster that bolted to the bracket.
the intrepid booster was closest, that it has the correct bolt pattern to the bracket. But the tail shaft out wasn't quite right.

boosters have 4 mounting studs that make a 3.375" square center to center on the studs.

There isn't much room deep though for it to mount to the bracket for the push rod.

I remember having to cut a couple inches off the stud in the back so it would fit the bracket and bolt on.

not a great picture either, but you can see the bracket a little better.
