I need to replace the chrome bands around the head rest.I know they reproduce them but they are hard to find and expensive.Anyone know any that are reaonable?

All the suppliers are going to sell you is a few feet of chrome body side molding...go to your local AutoZone/NAPA, or body supply shop and buy a roll

I was thinking that.It looks just like thin chrome stick on side mold.

There was a guy at the Indy swapmeet a few years ago with the RIGHT stuff. I think I paid $20. for the pair. I'll check to see if his info is in the package.

Yes, mine looks like that but no labels of any sort on the bag.

As I stated earlier, the vendors are just supplying plastic chrome body side molding from ProtektoTrim, it's their FLEXCHROME line, available from 1/8" wide up to 1/2", along with assorted metric MM widths as well, along with assorted dome profiles, available in 50-150' rolls, when I restored headrests for customers this is what I used, for what you pay for 2 precut vendor lengths, you can buy a 50' roll

There was/is a vendor that was selling the correct stuff. By that I mean originally it wasn't a dome it was flatter.

The Potektotrim FLEXCHROME line is flat, the standard line is domed should anyone decide to purchase...both profile charts are posted below for comparison
